Text | Ruby "Colene" England, 82, of Ridgley, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
She was born in Rocky Comfort on March 2, 1930, the daughter of Marvin Clinton and Georgia Mae (Stephenson) McCullah. On May 12, 1948, in Eureka Springs, Ark., she was united in marriage to Otis George England, who preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Howard McCullah, Marcel McCullah and J.C. McCullah and two sisters, Billie Jean McCullah and Chris Bixler. Survivors include: two sons, Allen England and his wife, Jan, of Wheaton, and Mike England and his wife, Jeanie, of Exeter; one daughter, Beverly Light and her husband, Charles, of Willard; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She grew up in Rocky Comfort where she graduated with the Class of 1948. She had been an active member of Ridgley Baptist Church. Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) in Ridgley Baptist Church, Ridgley, under the direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Dayton Brattin, Pastor Danny Heupel and Pastor Tony Ball conducted the services. Burial was at Muncie Chapel Cemetery, Wheaton. |
