Text | Kenneth "Foresteen" England, 89, of Wheaton, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, in his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1924, in Exeter, the son of Loyd and Effie (Snelson) England. On Aug. 28, 1946, in Cassville, he was united in marriage to Evelynne Creason, who preceded him in death on Jan. 26, 2006. Also preceding him in death were his parents; one son, William Loyd England; and an infant brother. Survivors include: one son, Johnny England, of Exeter; three daughters, Vicki Easley, of Wheaton; Patty King and her husband, Larry, of Springfield, and Becky Haynes and her husband, Jim, of Wheaton; one brother, Jack England, of Wheaton; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He grew up and received his education at Wheaton, graduating with the Class of 1943. During World War II, and the Korean War, he was active in the U.S. Navy, serving from Nov. 8, 1943, to June 19, 1952. He ran a dairy farm at Exeter. For 10 years, he was employed with Jumping Jack Shoes in Cassville and then worked in maintenance at Wheaton R-3 School for 20 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and Wheaton VFW. Funeral services were held Monday in Solid Rock Baptist Church, Wheaton, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Scott Mitchell and Pastor Dayton Brattin conducted the services. Burial with military honors will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter. |
