Text | Abstract Walter England, 69, of Monett, died at 7:35 a.m. yesterday, October 9, at his home following a long illness. Mr. England was born July 7, 1931, in Exeter, the son of Cleo and Ada Frances Thomas England. He was retired from EFCO Corporation in Monett. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of Tom Wolfe Memorial Post 4207 Monett Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married Anna Ruth Mattingly on March 26, 1963, in Miami, Oklahoma. Survivors include one son, of Exeter; four daughters, of Exeter, of Bentonville, Arkansas, and of Monett; one brother, of Wheaton; three sisters, of Monett, and of Sacramento, California; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, October 11, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Arnold Ray Evans officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, October 10, at the funeral home. |
