Text | Lela Blanche Ellis, 91, of Monett, died at 5:25 p.m. yesterday, May 15, at Cox Monett Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Ellis was born April 7, 1910, in Colorado City, Texas, and was a daughter of W. T. and Ada K. (Hamilton) Rogers. She was a retired sewing machine operator from Monett Manufacturing and a member of the Church of Christ in Monett. She married George Ellis in 1928, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include six sons, two brothers, one sister, 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Marion Ellis; and six brothers. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 21, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Dale Graham officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. |
