| Text | Clara May Ellis, 77, of Monett, died at 8:25 a.m. yesterday, May 22, at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett. Mrs. Ellis was born February 3, 1924, in Lorhair, Montana, was a daughter of C. Gustav and Emilie Mary (Hofstetter) Haag. She was a member of the Fundamental Methodist Church where she was the Sunday school secretary for over 40 years. She was a member of Kings Prairie Extension Club and was a distributor for Shaklee Products. She married Gorman V. Ellis on April 14, 1946, in Seattle, Washington. Additional survivors include one son, one daughter, three sisters, and 10 grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Rev. Kevin Hilton officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, May 24, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the mission fund of the church. |
