Text | Monett, Mo., Feb. 9 - Arthur Ernest Edson, 65 years old, a retired postal clerk, died unexpectedly at 6:30 o'clock Monday night at his home, 600 West Dunn street, after suffering a heart attack. Born April 16, 1888, in Seneca, he had been a resident of Monett for 41 years. He was married at Wentworth on May 15, 1913, to Miss Emma Lux, who survives. He was a member of the First Methodist Church. Surviving besides his widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Brite of Monett; a son, Arthur Edson, Jr., of Alexandria, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hensley and Mrs. Viola Hensley and Mrs. Viola Adney of Pittsburg, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Buchanan funeral home chapel with the Rev. F. L. Standard officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. cemetery. |
