| Text - Outline | Opal “Nadine” Edie, age 86, Purdy, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2009, in Springfield, Missouri. She was the second daughter of seven children, born to James R. and Grace (Wilson) Channel, in Mano, Missouri, who preceded her in death. Nadine was united in marriage to Lowell J. Edie, June 21, 1941. They lived their fifty-nine years together on a farm in Barry County, Missouri. She was employed by Johnston’s in Cassville, Missouri for twenty years. Nadine was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. Surviving are two children, of Springfield, of Nixa, Missouri; three grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two brothers of Granby, Missouri; one sister of Lee Summit, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell in 2001; two sisters, Marie Edie and Dollie Neal; one brother Billy R. Channel; two nephews, Jimmie and Billy Channel; and great-nephews, Seth Edie, and Josh Meyer. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2009, in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Butterfield, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri. Research Note: Nadine Edie February 23, 1923 - October 6, 2009 |
