Text | Lester Harold Edens, 62, 2911 South Shady Park, Houston, Tex., died Saturday at his home. He was born Aug. 7, 1912, in Barry County, Mo. He was a WWII veteran and a member of the Eastern Star. He was a member of the Pea Ridge Masonic Lodge and also a member of the Scottish Rites. As an electrician, he had worked at the Bremerton Ship Yards in Washington during the war, and later at the airport in Portland, Ore., and more recently, at the airport at Houston. He is survived by his wife of the honme; two daughters of Bremerton, Wash. and Simi Valley, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Nora West, Cassville, Mo.; a step-son, Temple Hills, Md.; two half-brothers of Cassville, Mo. and Washburn, Mo.; his step-mother, Washburn, Mo.; a sister, Marionville, Mo.; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Houston, Tex. and will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Culver Chapel, Cassville, Mo. Masonic graveside service will be held at Bayless Cemetery near Gateway. |
