Text | Mrs. Jonathan Eden northwest of Purdy died Saturday at Pierce City of typhoid fever. She had been taken to Pierce City for treatment. Her body was buried Sunday at the Goodnight cemetery north of Purdy. She leaves a husband and eight children, the oldest of which is fifteen years. She has a sister who has also been low with typhoid. Research Note: Margaret Armitta West married Jonathan Eden on Dec. 19, 1894 in Barry County, MO. Margaret was a daughter of Jonathan Fletcher West and his wife Mary Margaret Patton. Margaret's sister Mary Lucretia West was married to Quigley Lafayette Long, son of George and Sarah (Smith) Long. |
