Samuel Early was born September 24, 1845 in the state of Ohio. He passed away Jan 14, 1924 at the age of 78 years 3 months, and 24 days. He was first married to Miss ____ Oaks on October 17, ____. She departed this life January 24, 1901. To this union four children were born, Daniel, John, Lydia and Nancy Lydia and John have preceded him to the great beyond. He was married to Mrs. Sarah Crantz, October 10, 1905. At an early age he united with the Breth??? Church and was soon ordained a deacon, continuing in this office until death. He leaves to mourn his departure a wife, Mrs. Sarah Early, one son, Daniel Early of Tygo N. D., One daughter, Mrs. Nancy Davidson of Fairview Mo.; nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grand children, one step-son, one step-daughter and a host of other relatives and friends. Ruth Kent's Research Note: Samuel Early was my great-grandfather. His first wife was Perthenia Oaks - married in Moultrie, Illinois on October 17, 1867. Samuel was in the Civil War from Lima, Ohio and was in Sherman's "March to the Sea". |
