| Text | Lois Dunnam of Grove died Sunday, June 22, 2003 at the Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was 83.
Lois was born on February 27, 1920 in Exeter, MO, the daughter of Emmett and Chloe (Higgs) Goostree. On July 7, 1945 in Bentonville, AR, she was united in marriage to Willie L. Dunnam. Willie preceded Lois in death November 3, 1988. Her parents also preceded her in death. Lois received her education in Barry County, MO attending Doss County Elementary School and graduating from Exeter High School in 1940. She and her son Gary accompanied Willie to many air bases in the United States and Europe during his thirty-plus year career in the Air Force. After military retirement Willie and Lois farmed in Barry County. In 1988 they retired at Grand Lake in Grove. Survivors include: one son, one sister, along with other family and friends. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 25 at the Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, MO, Rev. Paul Yarnall will officiate. Public viewing will be available to everyone Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. |
