| Text | Charles A. Dummit, 74, died at his home, 2510 North Grant, 10:30 p.m. Saturday, after a long illness. Mr. Dummit, a retired Frisco machinist, was a member of the Methodist Church. He came to Springfield from Monett 30 years ago. Survivors include his wife, Sarah; two sons, Arthur, 2405 Bolivar Road, and Lloyd, Aurora; four daughters, Mrs. Ida Reddington and Mrs. Myrtle Carter, both of Tulsa. Mrs. Norma Reaves, Kansas City and Mrs. Noma Alsup, Independence; a sister, Mrs. C. C. Drake, Monett, and 17 grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Liberty Church south of Monett with the Rev. E. R. Stribling officiating. Burial will be in King's Prairie cemetery under direction of Thieme and Son. |
