| Text | On the 16th of June at Swallow Bluff on Flat Creek below McDowell, while in bathing, Bennie Dickerson, while trying to rescue a play mate, who was in danger of drowning, got strangle and was drowned. Bennie was thirteen years, eight months and 25 days old. He was a good boy, beloved by all who knew him. A father and mother, one brother and four sisters mourn his untimely and unexpected death. They have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement. |
