| Text | Lois DeWitt was born Dec. 31, 1924, in Washburn, to Wyatt and Belle Lawson. She passed away July 30, 2015, in Hobbs, N.M.
She married Virgil DeWitt on June 16, 1942. She was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include: her daughter, Carolynn Ainsworth (Donald) of Hobbs, New Mexico; two grandsons; one daughter-in-law, Jan DeWitt, of McKinney, Texas; five granddaughters; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, C. W. DeWitt. Funeral services were held Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church under direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, Hobbs, N.M. Graveside services were Tuesday at King Cemetery in Seligman, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation. |
