Text Springdale -- Mrs. Alice Depriest, 82 of 206 N. Water, died Wednesday in a local nursing home. She was born March 11, 1888 in Barry County, Mo.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Kern Griffis of Medford, Ore.; One brother, Roy Bowman of Exeter, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Mona Flaherty of Kansas City and Mrs. Maude Bowman of Fresno, Calif. and four grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Sisco Funeral Chapel with burial in Friendship Cemetery.
Research Note: Alice married Rufus Marion Depriest on Mar. 11, 1907 in Barry Co., MO. Rufus was a son of Thomas Jefferson and Mary Angeline (Edmiston) Depriest. Their daughter Mrs. Kern Giffis' given name was Goldie. Alice's parents were also married in Barry Co., MO.
