Text Walter W. Day, 76, Washburn star route, was found dead in his truck about 10:30 a.m. Friday on a rural road near Rocky Comfort.

McDonald County Coroner Gale Duncan attributed the death to natural causes. Mr. Day apparently suffered a heart attack.

Mr. Day was born April 30, 1903, near Cassville and lived most of his life at Washburn. He was a farmer. He attended the Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Irene Day, whom he married July 27, 1934, at Cassville; a son; two daughters; two brothers, Henry Day, Exeter, and Burness (Cap) Day, Wentworth; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Mahurin, Mrs. Dorothy Laney and Mrs. Bessie Bailey, all of Exeter, Mrs. Lona Dalton, Washburn, and Mrs. Pearl Morris, Republic, five grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Services were held at 2 p.m . Monday at the First Baptist Church, Exeter. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery under the direction of Williamson Chapel at Cassville.
