Text | Rites for Mrs. Day Funeral service for Mrs. S.S. Day were held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Horine-Culver funeral home. The services were conducted by Rev. J. A. Burris, Pastor of the Methodist church in Cassville and by Rev. R.L. Samples a former pastor of Mrs. Day’s at Trenton, Mo., where the Day family then lived. J. L. Riddick, with Mrs. Troy Wilson at the piano, sang for the service. The pall bearers were a group of Cassville business men, friends of V. S. Day, a son and a Cassville business man. Mrs. Day had for many years been a member of the Methodist church. Her former pastor spoke feelingly of her fine Christian character and exemplary life. Burial was made in the Oak Hill cemetery here, under direction of the Horine Culver Funeral Service.
