| Text | Doyle W. Davis, 91, of Monett, died yesterday, August 9, at his home.
Mr. Davis was born April 12, 1916, in Monett, the son of Clyde and Julia Bayless Davis. He was a cattleman, a carpenter, and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Purdy. He married Christine Morlan Davis in Monett in May of 1937. Survivors include one daughter of Monett; one son of Fort Leonard Wood; one sister of Springfield; one step-brother of Cassville; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by three sons, Vedes, Larry, and Jarry. Services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, August 11, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Rev. Russell Neill and Rev. Arnold Ray Evans officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery near Monett under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. |
