Text | Obit: Obit #1 Mrs. Mary E. Davidson
Mrs. Mary E. Davidson who was born Feb. 3, 1851, died at her home five mile southeast of here, Oct. 4, 1934, after a lingering illness. She and her husband, who preceded her in death just six months had lived on the same farm for thirty years. She was the mother of five children. Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Fred Schmidtke of Aurora, were held at the home of her daughter, at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon and interment was made in the Zion Cemetery.
Obit #2 Mrs. J. W. Davidson Mary E. Butler was born February 3, 1851 near Corsicana, Missouri. She departed this life October 4th, 1934 at the age of 83 years, 8 months and one day. She was married to John W. Davidson June 24, 1875. To this union were born 12 children. Her husband and six children having preceded her in death. Besides her immediate family she leaves two brothers and one sister, 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was converted early in life and united with the Free Will Baptist Church and after her marriage she united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Zion and continued a member of that church until her death. She expressed from time to time during her sickness that she was ready to go and as the end drew nearer, her hopes grew brighter for her Heavenly Home. Rev. Fred Schmidtke of Aurora an old time friend took charge of the services. His subject was, "Life." Funeral services were conducted at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Willis Young at 2 o'clock.
