Text | Bernard Gordon Dart, 81, of Cassville, passed away Friday, June 25, 2010, in Regency Hospital, Springdale, Ark.
He was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Garfield, Ark., the son of Lonnie and Margaret (O'Neill) Dart. On Aug. 5, 1956, he was united in marriage to Billie Anderson. Preceding him in death were his parents. He grew up and received his education at Garfield, Ark., graduating as class president in 1947. During the Korean War, he served his country in the U.S. Army. For a few years, he was a barber and then worked 18 years for St. Mary Rogers Memorial Hospital. Most of his life was spent farming and raising cattle. He was a member of Washburn United Methodist Church, where he was a trustee. Since around 1991, he served on the South Barry County Ambulance Board. He was a musician and groups played at his home every other Saturday. Funeral services were held Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Russell Bishop and Rev. Anne Saegesser conducted the services. Burial was at Corinth Cemetery, Cassville. |
