Headline A Prominent Citizen Dead
Text M. B. Dabbs, one of the best known businessmen in the county, having been engaged in the stock business in this and adjoining counties on a large scale for many years, died at the home in Seligman at 11 o'clock on the morning of Tuesday March 24, from paralysis. Until about two weeks ago the deceases was enjoying the best of health and was busily engaged in looking after the affairs of his profession. Paralysis made its appearance and his immediate relatives and friends entertained but little hope for his recovery.

The deceased was a native of Tennessee and was about 70 years of age. At one time he resided at Rocky Comfort where he engaged in the mercantile business. Some years later he moved to Exeter and gave his attention to the stock business and for the past fourteen years he has been a resident of Seligman. He was a man of good business ability unquestioned in integrity and an excellent citizen. In his death the county and Seligman loses one of its best citizens. A wife, four daughters and one son survive.

The funeral ceremony was held at the Union Church in Seligman, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the Seligman Masonic lodge, assisted by the Cassville lodge.
