Text | Ruby Lee Cutberth, 88, of Seligman died April 24, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville. He was born June 5, 1916, at Little Indian Creek near Lampe, Mo., to William M. and Nancy Ann Hammers Cutberth. He was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a farmer, drove a school bus in Washburn, Mo., for 30 years. At age 75 he began dancing at Silver Dollar City and for the next 10 years was known as the "mambo king." He also performed on the Showboat Branson Belle, making 60 appearances in one year. He enjoyed traveling, music and the Grand Ole Opry. He was a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wives, Ruth Cutberth and Velta Cutberth, two daughters, Frances Cutberth and Maxine Cutberth, and one son, Paul Cutberth. Survivors include four sons, two daughters, 17 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery north of Pea Ridge. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Research Note: Cemetery is in McDonald Co., MO |
