Text | John L. Cunningham, 65, of Shell Knob, died April 17 at South Barry County Hospital in Cassville. Mr. Cunningham was born September 2, 1935, in Tifton, Georgia, the son of Ian Maclaren and Viola Luverne (Hirsch) Cunningham. He graduated from Bowling Green State University and the University of Wisconsin. He was employed as a mycologist in Springdale, Arkansas. He was an Army veteran. He was a professor at Northwestern Bible College and Maranatha Baptist College. He was a member of the Gideons International, Men of Science, and American Phyto Pathological Society. He married Donna McCormick on August 31, 1958. Additional survivors include two daughters, of Eagle Rock, and of Shell Knob; two brothers, of McArthur, Ohio, and of Sardina, Ohio; one sister, of Charlotte, South Carolina; and 10 grandchildren. Graveside services were 2 p.m. today, April 20, at Painter Cemetery in Shell Knob with Rev. William Dillon officiating under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Shell Knob. |
