Text | Vida B. Cummins, age 88, of Harrionsville, formerly of the Pierce City and Jolly Mill areas, died at 11:54 a.m. yesterday, October 25, at Cass Medical Center in Harrisonville.
Mrs. Cummins was born July 10, 1911, in Pierce City, and was a daughter of Amos and Margaret (Ross) Reynolds. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pierce City, taught Sunday school for several years at Clear Creek Church, and had been a rural school teacher. She was married to Richard Cummins, and he preceded her in death September 29, 1975. Survivors include two daughters, of Kansas City and of Anaheim, California; one brother, of Independence; one sister, of Mt. Vernon, Washington; and three grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 28, at Lakin Chapel iin Pierce City with Rev. Greg Bunn officiating. Burial will be in Jolly Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Lakin Funeral Home of Pierce City. |
