Obit For Nanah Ves (Hopkins) Cox
Headline MRS. FRANK COX PASSES AWAY LAST SATURDAY EVENING
Text Nanah V. Cox, daughter of J. B. and Jesse Hopkins was born on Washburn Prairie, March 3, 1899. Died at her home in the Corinth Community, March 9, 1929, age thirty years and six days. She was married to B. F. Cox April 6, 1929. To this union four children were born, who are: Alene, age 7, Buford, age 2 Madge age 5 and an infant daughter one week old. She was converted in December 1912, at the age of 13 years and united with the Corinth Baptist church, later moving her membership to the Washburn Prairie Church, of which she remained a faithful member until called to her reward.

She leaves her husband, B.F. Cox, four children, her father and mother, six brothers and six sisters and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was a very loving and devoted wife and mother, gentle, meek and kind to all her friends and acquaintances.

It is hard to give her up, but we do not mourn as those who have no hope. She will be sadly missed in the home, church and community. Sleep on, dear one, and take they rest, God called you home. He knows best.

Funeral services were conducted at the Corinth church, on Sunday Afternoon, March 10, 1929 by C. M. Smith and Chas. Vanzandt, Burial in the Corinth cemetery - Contributed. The song service was in charge of W. P. Browning of Exeter, and his excellent class of singers. Some beautiful floral offerings were received from friends on this excellent lady. She had lived all her life in that community and was loved by all who knew her. The Democrat joins the many friends of relatives of the deceased in extending sympathy in their sad hour.
