| Text | Dona Cornell, 93, of Cassville, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday at a Cassville nursing home after a long illness. Mrs. Cornell was born May 28, 1895, in Barry County and was a lifelong resident of the Exeter and Cassville areas. She was formerly employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and was owner and operator of the former Cornell Dry Goods Store in Cassville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Exeter. She married Clark Cornell on December 21, 1913, at Exeter, and he preceded her in death on December 25, 1969. Surviving are four grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at Exeter, Maplewood Cemetery with Rev. Hugh Higgs officiating. Burial was under the direction of Williamson-Cassville Funeral Home.
