Obit For Effie Orilla (Akehurst) Cooper
Headline Cooper Funeral Sunday
Text Wheaton, Mo., Feb. 3 - Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Orilla Cooper, who died yesterday at her home at Powell, will be conducted in her home at Powell, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Roller church, six miles east of Powell. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Pogue funeral home. The body will be taken to the home at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon to lie in state until the funeral hour.
Research Note: Effie Orilla was a daughter of Rev. David Albert and Sarah (England) Akehurst. She married Thomas Green Cooper, July 2, 1899, McDonald Co., MO. Roller Cemetery is near the Barry and McDonald County line.

Her death certificate is incomplete and not very accurate. It gives her birth date as Mar. 15, 1883 and her death date as Feb. 2, 1950. Her cemetery stone has the wrong death date.
