Text | Died, August 24, 1894, Margaret Elvira, wife of Mace Combs, age 72 years, 2 months, and 14 days. "Aunt Peggie" was not a member of any man's organization, but was a firm believer in the Christian religion. After suffering with cancer in the throat for some time, she sweetly fell asleep in Jesus. Funeral services were held by the writer, at Mount Pleasant Church amid many relatives amongst whom was Rev. Gurley of Purdy, a grandson of the deceased. Text: Job xiv, 10. The remains were the first laid in the Mount Pleasant cemetery. Research Note: Date of paper is 1895, obit reads 1894. |
