William Henry Cole, one of Barry county’s old timers and highly respected citizens passed away at his home in Liberty township west of Exeter on Oct. 30 at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 24 days, after an illness extending over a period of some months. He was born in Shelby county, Indiana, and came to Barry County many years ago, settling on a farm. He is survived by his aged wife and three sons, Fred, William and Charles, who live near him, three daughters Mrs. Lucy Fairchilds of Iowa, Mrs. Maggie Lacey of Liberty township and Mrs. Nellie Bass-Norville of Wheaton. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Exeter Tuesday afternoon conducted by Eld. J.S. McQueen and burial made in Maplewood cemetery at Exeter under the direction of Horine Funeral Service. Research Note: Death Cert. # 32695 Name: William H.
