Text | Bertha Opal (Cassity) Cole, 91, of Cassville, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004.
Mrs. Cole was born Oct. 8, 1913, the daughter of Elzie and Annie Cassity. On March 9, 1931, she was united in marriage to Charley "Chock" Moore. To this union, two children were born. She was later married to Joe Cole. Bertha spent most of her life farming. She worked as a cook in restaurants and at the Exeter School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cassville. Survivors include: one daughter; one son; three sisters; one brother; one half brother, seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Rhoma and Loren; two sisters, Mamie and Dona; her husband of 33 years, C. W. Moore; and one grandson. Graveside services were held Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, under direction of Williamson Funeral Home, Cassville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice. |
