Text | Obit#1. Thelma Coker, age 83, of Neosho, formerly of the Monett area, died at 11:55 p.m. yesterday, October 10, at Beverly Health Care Center in Neosho. She was born January 13, 1919, in Ozark, and was a daughter of Edward T. and Lona Elizabeth (Viles) Blevins. She was a retired cook for Nickerson Farms in Stotts City and a Baptist. She married James Coker on April 8, 1937, in Highlandville, and he preceded her in death June 24, 1992. Arrangements are under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Obit#2. Services for Thelma Coker, 83, of Neosho, formerly of the Monett area, were held at 2 p.m. yesterday, October 13, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Sister Myrna Marble officiating. Music was provided by organist Jo Ann Thomas who played I'll Fly Away. Casketbearers were Kenny Blevins, Jim Harvill, Loyd Harvill, Floyd Harvill, Chuck Sweet, and Jeremy Coker. Burial was in McConnell Cemetery in Nixa under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. |
