| Text | Myrtle Marie Coffey, 91, of Purdy, died at 12:08 p.m. September 1 at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett following a long illness. Mrs. Coffey was born May 14, 1909, in Purdy, the daughter of Ira and Sarah (Roller) Marbut. She was a homemaker, a member of the Arnhart Baptist Church near Purdy, and the WMU Ladies Auxiliary. She married Furl F. Coffey on August 27, 1932, in Purdy, and he preceded her in death May 7, 1997. Survivors include one son, of Purdy; one sister, of Purdy; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Services were 10 a.m. yesterday, September 4, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Jerry Williams and Rev. Allan Payne officiating. Burial was in Arnhart Cemetery near Purdy under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Memorials may be made to the cemetery fund. |
