| Text | Peter David Coble, aged 75, one of the old citizens of Washburn, passed away at his home November 21. On October 4, 1885, he was united in marriage to Sarah L. Ryan and to this union were born eleven children, eight of whom with the wife survive him, also 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He came to Barry County in 1885 and has lived in the county since. For about 30 years he has been a faithful member of the Baptist church and was held in high esteem by his friends and acquaintances. Funeral services were held in the church house at Washburn, Nov. 22, conducted by Rev. J. T. Brattin and interment was made in the Washburn cemetery under the direction of W. D. Koon. |
