| Text | Billy Edward Coatney, 72, of Monett, died March 3 at his home. Mr. Coatney was born August 2, 1934, in Fairview, the son of James Raymond and Blanche Marie Williams Coatney. He was a veteran of the Korean War, a truck driver, and a member of Grove American Legion in Grove, Oklahoma. He attended Bible Baptist Church in Grove, Oklahoma. He married Joyce Joan Jenkins on November 22, 1955, in Monett. Survivors include two sons, four daughters, 17 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Rev. Ron Howerton officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, March 6, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice. |
