| Text | Oscar Clark, deceased, was born September 19, 1880, on Little Flat near the Henderson Mill. He remained in Barry County until 1892 when he went to Texas to live and there made a profession of religion and became a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. He had been at school at Mt. Gove since last September and intended to continue his course of study in the Marionville College Institute. He was to state to Marionville on Feb. 12 on which day he was taken sick at A. J. Dodd's 5 miles Northwest of McDowell where he died Feb. 27 at 7 o'clock. [Some of the remainder is unreadable, but it states that his parents lived in Christian County, MO.] |
