| Text | Elba Walden Cargile Clark, 82, of Monett, died at 10:40 p.m. yesterday, December 16, at he home of her daughter in Monett. Mrs. Clark was born September 14, 1917, in Bush, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas and Minnie (Huffman) Walden. She had lived eight years in Oaks Apartments before moving into her daughter's home. She had worked as a secretary in the Seligman school district and retired as a transcriber in 1980 from the ACACIA Insurance Company in Washington D. C. She was a Baptist. She married Frank Cargile in Monett in 1944, and he preceded her in death in 1952. Survivors include one daughter, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 19, at Washburn Prairie Cemetery in Washburn with Ronnie Black and Danny Smith officiating under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, December 18, at the funeral home. |
