Text | Thomas F. Christian was found dead in his bed at his home southwest of Rocky Comfort early Saturday morning, November 17.
Tom, as he was commonly called, lived on the old home place where he was born, his entire life. He was born August 4, 1859, making him 70 years, 3 months and 13 days old. He was afflicted with tuberculosis and stayed close to home. He was visited Saturday night by Chas. Houser but requested that he turn out the light and leave as he wished to sleep. Mr. Houser left him, thinking he was not in serious condition but when he returned Sunday morning he found him in the same position dead. He leaves one brother, R. H. Christian, one nephew and two nieces. Funeral services were conducted by J. S. McQueen at the Baptist Church at Rocky Comfort, Monday afternoon and the body laid to rest in the Rocky Comfort Cemetery besides his mother under the direction of Pogue’s Undertaking. |
