Obit For Parthena Jane (Jordan) Chapman

Text Mrs. Parthena Chapman, one of Cassville's most highly respected ladies, died Friday morning, after a short illness, aged 77 years, 7 months and 20 days.

On last Tuesday night Mrs. Chapman, who was subject to fainting spells, fell against the edge of a truck, striking her left side just over the heart. The accident was serious and within a few days it became apparent that it would prove fatal. The deceased was well-known and was an estimable lady. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and were in charge of Rev. Baldwin. The remains were laid to rest in the Cassville Cemetery.

H. F. Chapman, a son, who lives in Kansas City, was present when death came. Mrs. G. H. Cottrell is a daughter of the deceased.
