Text | Percy V. Cassetty, 83, passsed away Tuesday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Florence Venable of Exeter. Born June 6, 1878 in the state of Kentucky and as a small child he moved to the golden community and in 1919 he moved to Wayne, where he was a railroad agent until 1936. He was then appointed Postmaster of Wayne where he served until his retirement in 1950 at which time he moved to Exeter. He was a member of the Exeter Church of Christ. Other survivors besides his daughter include two sons, Harry of San Garbriel(Gabriel), Calif., Elmer of Beaumont, Texas: two brothers, Charles of Gerlack, Nev., Benton of Salt Lake city, Utah: four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Williamson Chapel in the Valley with Bro Claude Brown officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery at Exeter, under direction of Williamson. |
