Text | John Harm Case, Sr., age 63, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri.
He was born October 28, 1946, in Jackson, Mississippi, the son of Thomas B. Case. On April 15, 1976, in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Sanders, who preceded him in death on May 12, 2008. Also preceding him in death were his parents; one daughter, Paula Cherry; one sister, Fanny May Case and one brother, Jim Case.
He is survived by one son, of Purdy; five step-sons, of Purdy, all of Arkansas; several brother and sisters and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. John grew up and received his elementary education in New Orleans, Louisiana. He resided in Houston, Texas for a while, moving to Purdy in 1973. He was employed with Fasco Industries in Cassville as a supervisor and also was in the continuing education program there. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting and watching movies. He was a T.B. survivor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 18, 2009, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Charlie McManus and Pastor Doyle Russell will conduct the services.
