| Text | V. Faye Carlin, 84, of Neosho, formerly of Rocky Comfort, died yesterday, August 12, at Medicalodge in Neosho.
Mrs. Carlin was born February 9, 1918, in Powell, the daughter of Roy and Elsie Gray Horton. She worked on a farm and attended Freewill Baptist Church in Simco. She married Roy Carlin on August 1, 1936, and he preceded her in death October 27, 1994. Survivors include one son, of Stella; one daughter, of Rocky Comfort; four brothers, of Vale, Oregon, and all of Rocky Comfort; one sister, of Burns, Oregon; four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, August 14, at McQueen Chapel in Wheaton with Rev. Billy Gentry officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Stella under the direction of McQueen Funeral Home of Wheaton. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today, August 13, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
