Text | Eld. C. M. Smith of Exeter was called to New Site Sunday to conduct the funeral services of Mrs. Ella Carlin who died at her home near Webb City, May 15, 1914. Ella J. Kirk was born in 1855. In 1881 she was married to Lafayette Carlin. To this union were born five children, two sons and three daughters, the oldest son died in infancy. The other children are living and were with their mother at the time of her death. The body was shipped to Monett where it was taken in charge by undertaker Calloway and after the services which was held at New Site the remains were laid to rest in the New Site Cemetery. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of all in this dark hour of Sorrow. Research Note: Ella J. Kirk was married to Harrison Lafayette Carlin, son of William Marshall and Nancy (Haddock) Carlin. Ella Jane was born in White Co., IN, a daughter of Henry C. and Mary A. Kirk. In 1870 her family were listed in Vineyard Twp., in Lawrence Co., MO. |
