Text | Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Washburn Union Church for Walter F. Cargile, 77 years old, who passed away at his home in Washburn Friday morning of the last week after a short illness. Mr. Cargile, who had spent his entire life in the Washburn community, was 77 years of age. He engaged in farming in that area for many years and was well know. The Rev. Chas. Vanzandt officiated at the services. Burial was in the Washburn Prairie Cemetery under direction of the Culver Funeral Home. Surviving are his widow Mrs. Marinda Cragile of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Louise Crane of Corpus Christi, Tex., Mrs. Nadine Walker of Muskogee, Mrs. Jacqueline Foster of Cazenovia, N.Y., Mrs. Avo Brown of Cassville and Mrs. Winfred Warren of Poteau, Okla.; a son Frank Cargile of Washburn; a sister, Mrs. Cora Williams of Washburn, and three brothers, Charles and Floyd Cargile of Washburn and Clinton Cargile of Susanville Calf.
