Headline | Washburn Man Killed in Truck Accident |
Text | Ray Cargile, 30 years old, Washburn truck driver, was killed at 5 o’clock Thursday afternoon of last week in a truck auto collision at Marshall, Mo. Cargile was driving a semi-trailer truck for Paul Rogers, Seligman feed dealer, when its steering mechanism reportedly failed while rounding a curve. The truck collided with a car in which a young mother and her infant daughter were riding. They were not seriously injured. Cargile’s truck plunged down a steep embankment and had to be cut from the wreckage. He is survived by two daughters, two sons; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Cargile, of Washburn, two brothers, Wayne and Gene Cargile of Washburn and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ellen Cargile of Washburn. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Culver funeral chapel in Cassville by I. D. Ames and burial was made in the Washburn cemetery. |
