| Text | AVerna May Cantrell, age 87, of Exeter, died at 12:30 a.m. October 4, 2002, at St. John's South Barry County Hospital in Cassville. She was born April 17, 1915, in Barry County, and was a daughter of James and Amanda (Montgomery) Jones. She was a homemaker and a seamstress, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Exeter. She married Delmar "Doc" Cantrell on October 7, 1933, in Purdy, and he preceded her in death February 25, 1967. She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Services were 2 p.m. today, October 7, at the First Baptist Church in Exeter with Rev. Jerry Yarnall officiating. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. |
