Text | Clarence L. Cannon, 94, of Cassville, died August 11 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. Mr. Cannon was born February 12, 1906, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, the son of Charles and Fannie Bell (Nixon) Cannon. He was a 1925 graduate of Lathrop High School. He was an electrician for 28 years, retiring from Santa Fe Railway in 1973. He was a Baptist. He married Hazel Bozarth on May 28, 1928, in Olathe, Kansas, and she preceded him in death February 2, 1988. Survivors include one son, of Las Cruses, New Mexico; two daughters, of Indialantic, Florida, and of Mission, Kansas; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Claude, Charles, and Carl Cannon. Graveside services were 10 a.m. August 14 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville with Rev. Steve Grace officiating under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. |
