| Text | John William "Bill" Campbell, Jr., age 86, of Monett passed away on Aug. 20, 2006, at Central Texas Medical in San Marcos, Texas. He was born Jan. 7, 1920, in Joplin. The son of the late John W. and Ester Faye (Beeman) Campbell, Sr. He married Oleta Racine Gravitt on April 13, 1941, and she preceded him in death. He was a retired insurance agent for Farmers Insurance Group; a Veteran of the WWII Army Air Corp.; a member of the First United Methodist Church of Monett; a member of the Monett Masonic Lodge # 129; and a member of the Barry County Shrine Club, Abou Ben Adhem Temple of Springfield. He was preceded in death by: two brothers, Stuart Campbell and Dr. Phillip Campbell. Graveside services were held Friday at the Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Rev. Clif Crockett officiating. Masonic services were held Thursday. Memorials may be made to Monett Community Hospice Unit in care of the Funeral Home. Arrangements were under the direction of Bennett Wormington Funeral Home, Monett. |
