| Text | Elza Buxton, son of John and Elizabeth Buxton was born Dec. 23, 1861 near Newtonia, Mo. and departed this life Friday, Sept. 21, 1929 at his home in Neosho at the age of 67 years 8 months and 20 days.
He was united in marriage to Mary Jones, daughter of Barton Jones of near Neosho. To this union one son, Jacob Buxton was born. He was a member of the M. E. Church. Funeral services were conducted at the home Sunday evening Sept. 22 by Dr. Woods of Springfield after which the body was laid to rest in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery at Neosho under the direction of Pogue’s Undertaking. |
