Text | James C. Butler, age 79 years, 11 months and 18 days, passed away Thursday, February 21, at 12 o'clock, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Avo Fennell of the Pleasant Ridge Community. Mr. Butler's death followed a short illness. He was born March 3, 1855, at Purdy, Mo. At an early age, he was converted and joined the Baptist church, having lived a Christian life until the time of his death. On May 17, 1874, he was married to Eliza Moore. To this union six children were born, one daughter, Mrs. Ova Conway having preceded him in death in 1920. He leaves to morn his loss his wife, Mrs. Eliza Butler; two sons, J. L. Butler, of Los Angeles, Cal., and S. S. Butler of Bend, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Lula Cotton of San Jose, Cal.; Mrs. Cynthia Nunley of Dinsmore, Ark.; Mrs. Avo Fennell of near Green Forest; twenty-one grandchildren and six great grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock by Rev. Jesse Wise, followed by burial in the Campbell cemetery. Deceased: Butler, James C. Parents Names: James J.
