| Text | Lavon Helen Burnette, 77, of Washburn, died August 5 at her home. Mrs. Burnette was born July 12, 1928, in Shell Knob, the daughter of George and Nancy Ledgerwood Dodson. She was a 1947 graduate of Cassville High School and a farmer. She married Verl Burnette on January 7, 1949, in Bentonville, Arkansas. Additional survivors include one son, two daughters, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Kester, Delano, and Red. Graveside services were 1 p.m. today, August 8, at Hickman Cemetery in Washburn with Ben Loudermilk officiating under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. |
